Carl Hester riding Uthopia on his new Leisure Ride surface

Leisure Ride have recently installed a new Dressage Turf surface in Carl Hester’s outdoor arena and also put new fibres into the surface of the indoor arena. Carl rode Uthopia whose paces, especially in slow motion, clearly show the benefits of Dressage Turf.

Carl Hester has competed in three Olympics, two World Equestrian Games, five European Championships and has reached one World Cup Dressage Final. On the national stage Carl has won 51 dressage titles and been British Dressage’s National Champion 6 times. Uthopia is being aimed at the 2012 Olympics so it was a real privilege to be make a video of Carl riding Uthopia.

We have recently installed a new Dressage Turf surface for Carl Hester at his yard in Newent, Glos. Carl kindly allowed us to film him riding Utopia on the new surface, which you an see on the home page link.

This month saw the end to 12 week build, constructing a new 40 x 20 indoor arena for Mr Nigle Taybor at his farm in Broardway, Worcestershire. Last year we extended his outdoor arena to a 30 x 50 and installed a new All Sports surface. Nigles choice for the new indoor surface was Dressage Turf for its good ware rate to traffic.

Mr Peter Robberts of Hay on Wye took delivery his new Dressage Turf surface this month. Mr Roberts constructed his own arena and did a very fine job of it too. At 1650 M2 its a big job to undertake yourself so well done to Mr Roberts for getting it done.

Thank you to Mrs Cornock from Cheltenham who took delivery of a new premixed surface this month. Using our Leisure sand as a base we chose a blend of fibres from our range and mixed them with the sand to provide a surface of 1125M2 (45 x 25) for under £7000.00 + vat.

Mr Rob Hews had his indoor 40 x 20 wax coated this month to prevent dust and bind his sand, rubber and carpet fiber surface that was around 8 years old.

The wax coated the surface well even though the surface was not in great condition. and the sand was simply a builders sand. When the application was complete the difference was tremendous, no dust and a good binding of the surface.

News from across the water as our Irish partner company Wexford sand who stock all our additive and distribute throughout the north and southern Ireland have won the contract to construct a number of new gallops and cross country courses throughout Ireland.

The Products that will be used on these sites will range from Poly Fibre and Hair fibre dry blends, to wax coated permixed surfaces. John Ormonde MD has also taken delivery of 6 new combination arena harrows and 4 arena lite harrows all for clients who have recently purchased surfaces from him.
